Has Been Beauty Queen

I know I’ve been MIA from blogging lately. I’ve had a fairly busy last week and weekend. I have a standing date each year to meet some of the greatest gals for the Miss Tennessee USA pageant in October. It’s tradition and as much as I can help it, I’ll be there. It does make me sad in a way that I’m not still competing. I did truly love preparing and competing in pageants. I met some of my very best girlfriends throughout my 6 years of competition. But as much as I may miss it sometimes, I wouldn’t trade being Mrs. Chadwick Fields Watson for anything. But it was so lovely to see so many faces I haven’t seen in a while. Not to mention, I was able to spend a whole weekend with my best friend/sister, Catherine. Girls time is definitely an important part of every woman’s life. So here I am, an official “Has Been Beauty Queen” (aka: HBBQ) cheering on girls that I’ve been in their exact heels walking across stage to be judged. A different but comfortable role.

This is me as Chad is sending me off to have a fabulous girls weekend in Clarksville, TN for the pageant.

All of us after the Miss Tennessee USA final show. Cat, Me, Lynnette, Julia, Lora and Tammy. We loved supporting our Miss Southern Tennessee winners, Deborah Hudgins and Katie Hoppel as they competed! They did awesome!!

This is me after Miss Tennessee USA finals. I had to be vain and take a picture close up so my mother could see how I looked. I think the earrings were a great choice for this particular dress I wore, don’t you think mom?

Decompressing after the pageant. Tammy and Lynnette, AHHHHMAZING women. I’m so blessed to have them be a part of my life.

Cat chilling. Gabbing about who knows what. The conversation had never ending topics.

Driving back to Nashville at 2 am. Loving it.

Had to get a Krystal run in there at some point. We only have White Castle in Louisville and I can’t stand it! Yuck. I miss my Krystal!!!!

After watching those skinny minnie’s on stage, I decided to stuff my face with some greasy goodness. And boy, I sure enjoyed every second.

After falling into bed at 3 in the morning, I awoke after a quick 5 hour slumber to drive home to the Hubby so we could get a few hours to walk around at the St. James Art Fair.

The Hubs.

Bad bad food, but oh so tasty.

Ribbon Fries… Sinful

The only requirement I had with going to the St. James Art Fair was to get a funnel cake. It was yummy good. Thankfully I couldn’t even finish even half of it.

Random note: We came home after church and their was a kitty perched on the side of our building’s ledge. It was so cute. But it made me nervous that it was so close to the ledge.

Well, I’m off to soak in the tub. My fabulous husband just drew me a bubble bath. How blessed am I?

Hope everyone had a fantastic weekend.
